Welcome to Yoga You!

Finding joy in the way you move.

My goal is to teach yoga in a way that is accessible and welcoming. Over the years, my students have reported greater ease in movement and increased confidence in their ability to live independently. I guide my classes through a practice that explores breath and movement in a safe and non-judgmental environment, creating an empowering experience filled with joy and freedom in the way we move.

Yoga contributes to the well-being of all who engage in its practices.

I teach a variety of gentle styles of yoga that is widely accessible, regardless of age, gender, or physical ability.

Meet Lisa

Hi, my name is Lisa Rados and I am a certified yoga instructor, teaching for more than 13 years in Howard County and the surrounding area. For the last decade, my focus has been on offering older adults the experience of practicing yoga in a way that is gentle, accessible, and welcoming. I am trained to work with older people and those with physical limitations, whether chronic or injury related. I work with my students to customize their practice according to body type and capabilities.

In my experience, seniors are attentive, curious, focused, and grateful. I see how much enjoyment comes from moving in ways that were unfamiliar before yoga. The confidence that grows as my students move through life more easily, reminds me why I teach. I have a variety of classes to choose from, so I welcome you to come, participate and enjoy the gifts of yoga.

  • “I never thought I would be someone who would like yoga, and here I am nine years later still taking from Lisa.

Lisa is passionate about yoga and clearly loves teaching. She challenges us, but will always offer modifications to a position, and reminds us it’s ok. Besides being more flexible and having better balance (important as we age), when I leave the class I feel so good! Thanks Lisa!!”

    — Anita R.

  • “Lisa's class is not just exercising yoga, it is for what you feel after you leave the mat!

Lisa's personality, her knowledge and her passion for what she teaches and shares, have kept me taking her class for over seven years. When I leave the class, I feel lighter and happier. My joints are relaxed. I have learned about "pause", an amazing tiny break for controlling emotions, either anger or joy! I have learned about "breathing", the automated action of living, which can be traced from belly to throat to find the value of life and the art of relaxation.”

    — Faye A.

  • “There must be something that keeps me coming back because I've been with Lisa since the beginning of her yoga teaching.

Maybe it's the breath, or the pause, or the stretching, or learning about the body (how it works), or maybe it's because Lisa makes it fun!”

    — Glenda N.

  • “An invitation to join some friends for yoga turned into a habit!

Lisa is always ready with suggested modifications for those who can't achieve the ideal posture. So grateful that she has been able to continue virtually in the face of Covid restrictions.”
